Thank you!
Hey Everyone! First I want to say thank you for being my first few hundred subscribers. It means a lot to me. I actually never expected anyone to find my videos but posted the first one with the hope of at least helping a few people get started on Open MaNet and just showing my over all approach of tackling something new and learning as I go. Hearing that I just helped 1 of you made it all worth it, but here we are with tons of you sharing your ideas and reaching out to me. This is awesome and I couldn't thank you guys enough for giving me your time by watching my videos. I will be releasing my next video today, but it will have nothing to do with Open MaNet. It is a personal project I have been putting off for about a year and making a video about it gave me that drive I needed to actually complete it. Knowing that probably 99% of you are here because of Open MaNet specifically, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
My plan for this channel when I first created it years ago was to post my projects that I normally only share with family and friends. After creating it, I never found the motivation to actually post anything. When I found so many people asking questions about Open MaNet online, I finally found that motivation and in just a month and half, it has completely changed how I approach and think about my projects(in a good way). With that being said.... Don't worry! I am still currently working on my custom PCB for the project and will continue to make many videos on Open MaNet. My next one will be covering me trying to figure out the best approach for powering the node and testing buck and boost converters and power/battery management. I plan to do a custom test PCB for this as well but will be much easier to build. I am taking my time with the custom carrier PCB since I am dealing with many components I haven't dealt with in the past. No promises, but I do hope to have the carrier board ordered by the end of February at the latest. I have learned that making youtube videos AND building something at the same time is really difficult to manage, go figure... The order of those plans may change depending on a few things but right now my goal is to release something related to Open Manet sometime in the next few weeks. Thanks again for all your time and I hope to continue seeing you around!
